Looking back on my own childhood, I fondly remember days spent exploring every nook and cranny around my neighborhood…the backyards, streets, woods, and streams.
Having a fairly geeky nature, I worry that I’ve squelched that love for nature too often when raising my children. My family and I don’t spend nearly enough time outside learning to appreciate the sights, sounds, and smells of nature.
We set off on photo excursions as often as weather and schedules permit. As I teach them about their cameras and photography, I hope that I’m also passing along the knowledge that God has created a big, beautiful world!
